Along with the fact that the Nintendo Switch Presentation really gave me vibes that Nintendo didn't really learn from the mistakes of the Wii U by trying to appeal to a casual market with focusing on motion controls and games like 1-2Switch

I'd like to point out that in that Switch Presentation was every game of the 2017 lineup (except the Pokken Tournament port).  A near-legendary lineup that, by the end of the year, received universal acclaim for its depth, quality, appeal to all levels of gamers, and variety and was regarded as perhaps the best launch year in the industry's history.

So... yeah.  Sometimes you just can't please everyone.  Especially on the internet.

I never said the Switch would be fully casual, there were hardcore games on the Wii as well but most people who brought a Wii didn't buy it for the hardcore games. While I knew the Switch would have hardcore games on it, I didn't think it'll be enough because we've seen hardcore Nintendo games on the N64 & GC but they both still sold under whelmingly due to a lack of 3rd Party support. And I felt like Nintendo trying to appeal to the casuals again would've tarnished the system's image to more hardcore gamers as being a casual BS console like the Wii U.
