As a 360 owner and "hardcore gamer" (ugh, i hate that term) I can't say I ever felt "abandoned" in the 360's later years.
I just ignored Kinect and kept on playing games like Halo Reach/4, Gears 3/Judgement, other console exclusives like Witcher 2, Alan Wake, and Splinter Cell Conviction, and the better version of most multiplatform games.
It was the Xbone when they lost me.
