It's gotta be mainly about the gaming experience for both, no matter what those many minor details are. Wasting time adding other non gaming related features that aren't really tied to gaming has been proven to be a bad approach overall through the PS3 and XB1.
XBSX and PS5 look to be on the right track so far. With a laser focus on the gaming experience with the tech they have in them, the experiences could be immensely immersive, especially with what VR could bring. I'd much rather have that than mostly just slightly better visuals and bloatware.
PS1 - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.
PS2 - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.
PS3 - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.
PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
PRO -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.
PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
