lol, why do people want things to fail?

I have a few friends who don*t have any current consoles and a playing the 1 or 2 games they want stadia. Its cool for them and doesn't pose  a thread for people who prefer gaming on physical hardware. By the time it does it means it will work like a dream, which would be a win for everyone.

I don't support a future where corps control ownership like this. Pay full price for something you don't own on top of a sub fee. Google is the worst place for any of them. They shut shit down all the time so once they shut it down. Poof boom your games are gone. The consumer should be in control. Not the corporation. Removing less control for the consumer is anti-consumer. Stadia has failed and will die the death it deserves. I'm against anti-consumer. With BS practices like this in the 90s, I would not be able to play many of my fave games now. In 20 years I can play the games I own. In 2 years Stadia will be listed on the killed by Google Website.

Oh well he's playing Destiny 2 which comes free with Stadia Pro and I believe he's sticking to the free content.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a subscription fee to play the games that you pay for outright.

"a model with no monthly fee where you pay full price for games that you can play on any supported device"

But if you're a pro subscriber you can get discounts  + the free games, literally no different from digital purchases on playstation or Xbox. More options for the consumer is consumer friendly imo, but for people who are afraid of being locked out of content of course streaming isn't for you but its not being mandated. I won't go to lengths to defend them though since I don't use the service or know the ins and outs but I hope that any anti consumer policies they have are ironed out in the years to come. Again more options for gamers, the better.
