I decided to revive this thread because IGN recently had an article about drift: https://www.ign.com/articles/3-years-later-joy-con-drift-is-still-a-huge-problem
I'm wondering if anyone who hadn't had drift issues before have had them now?
Personally, my launch Switch has had joycon drift for about a year now. I used GoOnKid's suggestion of contact cleaner and it's worked...but for about a month or two at a time. So I have to continually reapply it. Not a perfect solution, but it works for now until I choose to buy new joycons, which I refuse to do until they have proven to have fixed the problem.
If you are looking for contact cleaner or don't know what we're talking about here's what I use: https://www.homedepot.com/p/WD-40-SPECIALIST-11-oz-Contact-Cleaner-30055/307599950
