Western third parties, maybe, but I'm a lot happier with what Japanese third parties are putting out this gen than I was last gen, and I prefer Japanese games.
Even with Western games, though, Witcher 3 is better than anything any Western third party put out in 7th gen, and Doom has been good. I will say Fallout, which was my favorite Western-made franchise last gen, has really declined in quality.
I'm much happier with 8th gen than I was with 7th gen.
