If Xbox had gotten RE4 (not sure why it didn't, anyone know?) it'd be far and away my top console of the 6th gen. As it is I have trouble picking a favourite.
I'll take Dreamcast over PS2 though, if mostly cos I prefer Sega as a company, and have more of an emotional attachment despite not owning a DC during its actual lifespan. DC represents the end of an era I cherish while for me PS2 represents an era where gaming as a whole lost some of its sparkle.
So I can safely say Xbox > DC > PS2 in my reckoning but I have trouble placing the Gamecube, as it had some great games but disappointed me a lot too.
If there is one aspect where DC does beat Xbox for me though its the box itself; while the Xbox's massive, imposing bulk does have a certain robust charm and screams power, the DC's slim chassis is overall more appealing to look at.
