Only 8 additional cases today in Luxembourg, it's clearly slowing down here, with recoveries starting to outpace new infections. Sadly, also 2 new deaths, bringing the tally up to 75, close to 2% of the total deaths in a year in Luxembourg (~4300 deaths per year in Luxembourg right now).

Since today every single citizen in the country got a package with 5 N95 masks from the government, and need to wear those when going shopping, for instance. Companies also got entire boxes of masks for their employees at work.

And during this week, all retirement homes and the like will get thoroughly tested, with all their inhabitants and employees getting tested in one go to make sure the most vulnerable people to the virus are not getting in direct contact with infected persons. That's a grand total of 11000 tests just for them in one week. Keep in mind that the country has made "only" 34k tests (only because that's over 5% of the population already) in total until now.

Finally, it's clear that the Luxembourgian health system is very robust, as our hospitals still have free capacities. We got some NATO tents as a potential Lazaret a couple weeks ago, but it's still mostly empty. It gets used for separation of potential Covid patients in waiting of their test results (which are performed in situ), but strictly speaking that wouldn't have been necessary so far.
