Basically you either die or get better. Hospitals can barely do shit right now.  Just waiting for USA for profit medical system to collapse but I'm sure their greedy asses will get bailed out.   All cheers for profit health care system.  I'm just glad this virus finally puts to rest USA has best medical system.   That is bullshit and I've know it for over 20 years.  For profit health care can kiss my ass.

Leaving aside for a moment the veracity of whether the United States has the best medical system...

How does the last few weeks provide evidence against it?  You're the second poster to mention this as an obvious conclusion, but the United States healthcare system has so far absorbed the rush of patients into its hospitals much better than many single-payer systems across Europe.  Even the emergency hospitals built in anticipation of the hospitals being overwhelmed have been relatively unused as of yet.  Why would anyone objective look at what's happening and conclude that the system isn't as good as advertised?

And I'm not sure at all where the system needs to be bailed out at the moment.

Please show me where, because I don't see anything like that yet.

Keep also in mind that it only really took off 2 weeks ago, while it started much earlier in Europe. The curve is flattening already across Europe, so the state of European countries right now is about where the US will be in 2-3 weeks, give or take.

Also, just look at that trendline:

Once those cases become serious cases, then the system will collapse. It's already doing so in NY right now (which has almost as many cases as all of Spain and more than Italy), and will go downhill from there.
