Yeah I'm with Shiken, given the close ties already between 1 and 2, and the fact both are/will be on Switch, it seems more likely to connect those two further.
Nintendo and Monolith seem to be fairly content to let XCX be left behind in relative obscurity, given its one of the few significant Wii U games that hasn't been ported to Switch, and the fact they made XBC2 and XB1:DE instead of XCX2 or XCX: Definitive Edition.
As a fan of the series though I'm interested in discussing it.
