You and I have actually discussed this in the past. The most recent videos I DL'd from YouTube were a bunch of Tom Green Show episodes, and a bit of Soul Train. Anyways, both the methods I used for the last 5-ish years no longer work. I'd definitely be interested in knowing what you are doing.

More on topic: For handhelds, 720p is great imo. For a nice big TV....The last games I played in 720p on a TV were Yakuza 5 and Dishonoured on the PS3 in spring/summer 2017. While I did notice the downgrade in resolution, a bit more so in Yakuza, it had no effect on my enjoyment. Definitely prefer a higher resolution though.

Anyway I'm using JDownloader 2 for stuff like that. Can pretty much load any type of media from any website.

Just copy a link and it will be added to the linkgrabber section where you can decide what to download (and the level of quality).
