On our 5.0mbps dsl, we can't have two computers running YouTube at 1080p at the same time ever. Our devices aren't junk either. If someone is watching YouTube at 1080p during non peak hours, another computer can be 480p without buffering. During peak hours we can't even get 1080p and 720p is the best, with a second computer being at 360p. Streaming to a TV is terrible. 720p best case scenario non peak, 360p with buffering during peak, and don't bother trying YouTube on another device if you're streaming to a TV. If someone is watching YouTube at 720p during peak, and I'm gaming online, the lag becomes unbearable.

Kinda feels like being fed scraps at times. Thankfully we can download some of what we'd otherwise stream all night for free in 1080p. Gotta stream YouTube though.
