I'd never thought of ReCore as a 3D Metroidvania game, but you are right. I thought it was a decent game that didn't quite live up to its potential. Ori was great due to its art style and fluid controls. Funny enough I don't care for Metroid or Castlevania. 

yeah I looked through the TA list to remind me what kind of Metroidvania games I've played and ReCore appeared as well.

The Batman Arkham games are on there as well and it's kinda true!
