I owned 5 3DS throughout its lifetime (had the shoulder buttons on my original 3DS die, bought another to replace it, they died too, then got a 3DS XL alongside Smash when it released, then a 2DS and a New 2DS XL down the track too) It was a great system - my favourite outside of the Switch.
I had a Wii U for a while (Pikmin 3's release in July? 2013 until the end of that year). I sold it off because there was absolutely nothing else on the horizon that remotely interested me, it had such an awful line-up for my tastes.
Gladly jumped on the Switch at launch because it looked so good, and its promised library was so great as well.
