There are certainly hardly any Switch owners who care, but EA has shareholders and those people will continue to ask EA why they aren't making Switch games. After all, EA is a US-based third party publisher and Switch is highly successful in that country. Shareholders would like EA to take advantage of such a huge installed base, but since EA doesn't want to develop Switch games, they have to continue to come up with justifications why they aren't doing it.

Said justifications are unsurprisingly hilarious to read because the logic of those justifications is heavily flawed.

I dont know what happened to my original response.. it was all screwed up. Haha. I agree, that they're trying to appease to shareholders, even if it comes off as though they think they're all retarded. Its sad that they're so shortsighted.
