Well because of blunders like this, whatever the amount of PS5's sold, it will be smaller than the amount they would have sold had they not made the mistake of letting exclusives go.

So Sony can't complain if/when that happens.

And I mean this from the business point of view naturally cause from the consumers point of view it means some PC people playing those amazing games which is good for them.

From my point of view, AS LONG AS those amazing games are available on my system of choice, I don't care that Horizon Zero Dawn ends up being available for the Nintendo Game & Watch or even my antiquated childhood calculator that is missing a couple keys.

I'm sure if they launched the PS4 at $299 they would have sold more PS4's, does that make the $399 price a big mistake? No because success ultimately relates to profit and whatever targets they've got in regards to hardware sales, they obviously have a bigger picture in terms of how they actually want to make money in the long term.
