Where did you got the additional information? I couldn't find them in the original source. Maybe that got deleted in the meanwhile (article got updated 45 minutes ago)

bolded: I read the article and could only see a mention of 8 out of the top 10 being Switch games. Since the Switch already covers 6 out of 10 in your list, then Minecraft and MK8D would probably be on some of the free spots (1,3,8,9). Considering Pokemon SwoSh and MK8D sales are mentioned and Pokemon is on 6, then MK8D would probably be either on 8 or 9.

On the other Hand, LM3 is on 5 but sold only about half what Pokemon sold, so not sure if I can trust that chart much. The article says that numbers for the french market will get published in the coming weeks, so I'm fairly sure the top 20 you have there is not the yearly Switch game sales, but possibly the weekly ones.

Here is the second source i forgot to give before:

https://www.lemonde.fr/pixels/article/2020/01/09/jeu-video-nintendo-se-felicite-de-ses-performances-sur-le-marche-francais-en-2019_6025264_4408996.html

There's an error in the OP that i edited: Ring fit is 22nd and not 12th

This article says it's the annual sales but fails to place MK8DX in a position and mentions Minecraft as included in the top 20 with FIFA20

Maybe pokemon is 6th because they count it separately, if both sold 650k, then one sold between 300k and 350k, 5th position being at 392k, it could make sense.

Little correction for the OP: Statistically speaking, one out of 9 households have a Switch, which would be 11%, not 10%.

Also, I think I know where the difference comes from: The numbers from Le Monde are just physical sales, while the Figaro is also speaking about some digital sales. Then it certainly makes sense that Minecraft is missing (is it even available physically in the west?).

As for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I think they just forget to mention it's position, as they are talking about it's sales numbers, and it's the same in both articles. It would certainly fit into the 8th or 9th spot with those numbers.
