So once sales from the 29th-31st are included, Switch's 2019 has topped PS4's best year.

Unfortunately, no. PS4 was at 53.4M on January 1st, 2017 and 73.6M on December 31st, 2017, so it sold 20.2M in 364 days.

Similarly (according to VGChartz,) Switch was at 29.6M on December 29th, 2018 and 49.8M on December 28th, 2019, which would also be 20.2M in 364 days.

So a dead heat then.

Still, there's a chance 2019 may not be Switch's peak year, maybe in 2020 it'll do even better.
