The site does see a boost in views every year during the Holidays and January. But yes, this generation being so one sided did hurt things, plus having the sales figures so far behind. But we are up to date with hardware estimates now. Will we ever be as big as IGN or GameSpot? Very unlikely. But it would be nice to have the site more sustainable than it is now. 

I'd prefer if you never did.  1). IGN has never returned a profit in their entire lives. 2). They are too big to recognize the integral nature with their viewership. 3). You guys are part of your community first, everything else is secondary. 4). The sales numbers garnered you your community.  Your community maintained after the numbers went private. Who stayed when the easy number factor left?  The community. 5). Who hasn't forgotten their community because of 3 and 4? VGC.
