A lot people had been asking for FFXV on Switch even with major downgrades, so Square gave them FFXV Pocket Edition. They got what they asked for, no problem. And tbh, FFXV wasn't even that good, Xenobalde Chronicles X - another JRPG at that time (also open world) was way better.

Xenoblade X has probably still the most original and best explorable open world from this generation. Helps that they went for sci Fi/primal aesthetic !

Xenoblade X was an absolutely stunning technical showcase for the hardware it was running on; a world that huge, detailed, and seamless running at an almost flawlessly locked 30fps on 1GB of RAM and a GPU only slightly more capable than the 360's.
