I think it's a pretty good opening. If you factor in an estimated 30% for digital sales then it's almost up there with gen 7 for FW sales. Then factor in the much higher HW entry point and the fact that the price of the SW itself is possibly 30% more expensive, then revenue-wise it's probably the biggest FW sales for a mainline pokemon in Japan yet. Given both the HW and SW are priced more prohibitively than before and the fact that it's the series' 1st entry on a home console, i'd say that FW sales are actually quite outstanding.
