You have a point here, that everyone needs to stop this, but there's one core reason why non lefities are also participating and won't back down.

That is because (and let's just say the right to make it simple) the right were getting decimated due to sh*t flinging outrage culture, because they didn't know how to deal with it. No matter how hard the right swung the bat, based on how they typically operate, they ended up 'striking out' and paying the price. Then the right decided to follow what Trump does, and started throwing the sh*t back at the pitchers, which led to an 'awakening' of sorts. They realized the pitchers didn't much appreciate that and would just senselessly increase the sh*t flinging. Which the right would just increase the return flinging, instead of swinging, which led to both sides getting covered in sh*t. Though it's taken a while, some of the pitchers, or their coaches I guess you could say, who weren't used to being covered in sh*t, have had enough of it for the most part, and are trying to call a truce.

The right wants to play ball as it's meant to be played. When the pitchers start throwing baseballs again, the batters will start swinging at them again.
