He never found the assassin, and why the hell would the assassin even use a specific kind of dart to lead them straight to the army. And then the Jedi just decide not to ask where the army came from and go ahead and use it.
lol, the story is monumentally stupid, but even that would be passable if the acting, emotion, and dialogue wasn't the worse than a Transformers movie. I buy Shia LeBeof and Megan Fox as a couple more than Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman looking like she suffered severe head trauma when falling off that cruiser to agree to fall in love with Anakin, lol.
