It released as the switch in 2017 but the tegra X1 Nvidia shield released in 2015 and that is pretty much to the transistor what the switch has inside the shell.

You go back and look at the cut to ribbons ports that the vita was getting of PS3 titles and then look back at the number of full complete ps4/X1 titles which are now making up the switch library and I think anyone not commending the port work that company's like saber or panic button after doing is honestly doing their work a disservice.

I would say though for those 15% of switch owners who never undock the machine (of the og console surveyed by Nintendo) then I could agree the value of this kind of port is lowered if that gamer has another console in the same setup, however for the remaining 85% of switch owners (around 35m people) being able to take a game like Witcher 3 on a bus/plane/toilet/funeral/cab is just amazing.
