I just downloaded the demo yesterday and so far I am enjoying the game immensely.

As far as the Western market goes, here is one big difference between Dragon Quest 11 and previous entries.  Up until now I always felt Dragon Quest was living in Final Fantasy's shadow.  Even in the NES days, I played the first two Dragon Warrior (Quest) games and thought they were "good, but not as good as Final Fantasy".  Final Fantasy used to be my favorite series, but I just don't think very much of it anymore.  Right now I am very hungry for a really high quality turn based RPG.  Final Fantasy just ain't doing it anymore.  Xenoblade Chronicles and Persona don't really do it for me either.  Octopath Traveler was good, but it was different enough that it doesn't exactly scratch the same itch.

This is Dragon Quest 11's time to shine.  I've just started playing it, but to me it looks like the best turn-based RPG on the market right now.  It just exudes quality and polish.  That is exactly what I've been craving for a couple of console generations right now.  I may be alone, but then again, I have a feeling there are other disgruntled Final Fantasy fans willing to look elsewhere as well.
