Another thought. Hopefully more constructive and productive, maybe.

If Switch sales are going to be combined, period, end of discussion, would it at least be possible to move Switch to the center of the front page hardware totals chart? That way it would be somewhat visible that consoles are on the left, handhelds are on the right, and Switch is in between, since it's being considered a hardware combo basically.

It's not gonna matter before long, so why bother? The Vita is dead and buried, the 3DS is on its deathbed. Soon, tracking for those two will be done entirely and we'll either have just three systems to track or the PS5 and Scarlett arrive, take their place, and we'll be back to tracking 5 systems again. And when that happens, it's essentally two PlayStations, two Xboxes, and one Nintendo. The Switch will just be the one Nintendo system moving forward, so it's not going to matter where you put it on the front page because it'll just be "that one Nintendo system."

The best course of action, in my view, when those two systems arrive would be to just have the front page show the PS5, Scarlett, and Switch under the "This Generation" tab or call it "Current Platforms". That way we will have just 3 bars, 3 colors, 3 systems, for the Big 3 companies; 1 red (NSW), 1 blue (PS5), and 1 green (XBS). Then move the PS4, Xbox One, 3DS, and Vita back to the "Last Generation" tab, maybe bring back the Wii U and put it under that tab or not. And have them replace the 7th gen systems entirely since VGC isn't tracking them anymore.
