Don't know why people are complaining about the score. Switch owners got the definitive version of the game and things like better soundtrack, more content and speedier battles (thank god!) are way more important than resolution. Why the complaints? If this version released on PS4 I'd be perfectly fine with it scoring higher than the original release and I'd be happy for PS4 owners that they can play the best version of the game.
Games are becoming more like books and other mediums right now, as gaming isn't new anymore. People still look for cool new stuff but they also look for the classics. Dragon Quest XI is pretty much the definitive version of a traditional JRPG and bound to become a classic. Just like Resident Evil 1 is still the de-facto "horror game set in a creepy mansion" title to go to. So it's great when classics and future classics get an overhaul. The graphics are not so important, as they are going to age anyways. But quality of life improvements are very appreciated and deserve higher scores.
