Metroid Prime was my 1st in the series. I f*cking loved it. I knew of the series before, but i had a sega genesis so i missed super. I went back and tried it. Got to Kraid, but kinda lost interest after that. I think Prime 2 ended up being my favorie, but i couldn't have truly appreciated it without the 1st prime game. The whole light and dark gimic gets me everytime. Also, anyone else thing the ing were in zelda twilight princess? :) I enjoyed the end of corruption, but i wasn't big on the new bounty hunters. As i suggested, i really prefer the 3d metroids. I'd love to get a 2d remaster collection on switch. I'd play through them in small spurts. But yeah, i don't like them as much as the 3d ones (not counting federation force). Okay. Now... i have a confession. I really enjoyed other M! There i said it! I'm a monster! No for real though. As much as i love the atmosphere and gameplay of the prime series, i never clicked with samus. As others have said in the past she seems kinda like an empty suit of armor. Seeing samus actually go through some actual emotions was really satisfying. I know people really had a problem with how the director approached the character, but it seems like they had already decided what they wanted the character to be without the traits actually being established by the games. It's worse than zelda because at least you get to see links facial expressions. Now, it was by NO means a perfect game The 1st person turret shooting was dumb, & the walking segments felt like they lasted foreveeeeeer. BUT! that game gave us, what i feel, is like the coolest addition to the lore since the original game; ridley's gestation cycle. Little birdie was the star of that game for me. And when samus finally came face to face with ridley i had absolute chills. Alot of people critisize that ridley, but i thought the imagery was fantastic. It was like satan himself was rising from hellfire to claim his most sought after soul. Anyway, i have no idea what to expect from mp4. I'm sure it won't be out till like 2022, but i can't wait. Metroid went from being a missed title on older systems to one of my top 5 fav franchises.
