Uh...ok... If Sony didn't leak it on purpose, then Circuit City is to blame for putting their ad out before anyone else. Apparently all retailers are going to drop the price but it seems like they are all trying to beat each other to sell HDTVs or whatever else people will buy by going in the store. Not sure anyone is losing face here. It's a good move that perhaps Sony wanted to wait to announce at E3. Btw, trying to make Sony look bad doesn't change the fact that you were wrong about them dropping the price. |
Just a point of thought as there is no means of confirming it one way or another. Either way Sony's playing coiy and there being an official price cut is somewhat supportive of my theory. However in them making the distributor look like the one giving the price cut it makes it look all the more like the distributor is trying to liquidate stock. Had Sony officially announced this themselves it could be argued there was something more to the decision. Either way its all speculation, but given Sony's PR track record I see no problem in my thoughts.
