I like the newer NES model. The design is interesting. More importantly, it fixed two major flaws of the NES, a faulty cartridge mechanism, instead going for a top loader, and a controller that dug into your hands, making the new controller more like the SNES controller. The only flaw, which isn't really the systems fault, is the cartridges weren't designed for a top loader and stuck way too far out of the top.
