Well, in the first Spidey there was some woke crap, like the in your face lecture about slave history that came out of nowhere at the Washington monument. It was sooo cringy, ham-fisted and uncalled for. Normal people don't want to be lectured about woke things when they go see a movie. It's nothing but posturing and virtue signaling.
And then there's the MJ thing. I mean yeah, it's not a major deal, I like the actress and I think she's talented kind of cute, but she's not the iconic redhead that the original MJ is supposed to be. Why does everything need to be changed just for the heck of it? Create new characters and make them woke af, but why mess with the original vision? Because woke people have no creativity of their own, they just want to infect other people's original work with their taint and that's all they care about.
