Don't hold any studio under Nintendo's watch to the same standards as any third party. Nintendo may put its name on a turd every once in a while, but it's not going to allow a collossal screw up on the level of ME Andromeda, Failout 76, or Anthem.

Look at all the western devs that were once second-party studios for Nintendo or that had some sort of close partnership, and do a before and after comparison on them (Rare, Silicon Knights, Factor 5 to get you started). You'll quickly find a trend that says, "These guys were awesome when they were on Nintendo's payroll, then went to hell once they weren't."
