As for BOTW2, I don't know how much they plan on reusing the same, or similar terrain from the first game, but they could introduce a lot of new areas where you'll spend more time than re-treading old ground. For example, the majority of the game may take place underground, in brand new locations. |
Your argument here banks a lot on people just liking the game from nostalgia and ignores the game's own merits a lot of people who never played ALTTP enjoyed ALBW so nostalgia isn't really a solid case here, it also still maintains the same top down perspective in a time when we have far superior looking games this again is banking on the nostalgia part of your argument. ALBW is a good example of that as it had people return to a familiar Hyrule but the experience is very different with a more non linear structure and key central mechanic so the way the game plays out is very different.
