He could be great as a young Drake, he has the fun action and banter image from Spiderman, he's popular, and his looks are close enough to young Nate from UC3. As he gets older, he will be able to grow into an older Nathan, so it could work for a long term franchise.
For Sully, apparently, the shortlist is Woody Harrelson, Chris Hemsworth, Matthew McConaughey and Chris Pine (the description of Sully in the movie is online, and pretty accurate). We could have an interesting and famous duo, which could be a sign that they take this movie seriously.
The most important part will be the writing and the direction. The director was in charge of 10 Cloverfield Lane (didn't see it), but also the short Portal movie a few years ago (which I liked). We'll see how it goes.
