It's quite purposeful. They're trying their damndest to not take it seriously, because they don't want the American people to take it seriously.

Isn't KFC one of the things the left was trying to use against Trump to basically say he was an unhealthy slob who sets bad examples? That evened itself out quickly. I guess neither party takes politics seriously.
