I think it’s funny how the rumoured next Switch hardware was described as “Not being a simple ‘pro’ system” is being called that by people. Most likely it is more like the gen 2 family of the Switch hardware, similar to how mobile devices have done it.
But if Xbox TWO takes as much market share as you think, then Switch/Switch 2 will win as a result of PS5 failing to come close to PS4 sales. As you said, PS5 and Switch will not have much effect on each other’s sales. But the sort of console that Switch is will only grow in popularity in the coming years; the stock market speculators seem to think so too as Nintendo’s value approaches all of Sony combined.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
