but its not the same market situation as it was during the PS3 era, made worse due to recession, Now a days people are willing to spend premium on useless gadget. buying $1000 phones every year, not to mention Xbox X showed people now will pay a premium if it delivers on power. 

I think 500 will be the sweet spot for a tech that will stay relevant for 3 years atleast.
