Cartoons are not specifically for kids. With flawed logic like that, there is really no talking to you. Fun fact, cartoons as a medium started as skits designed for adults (not necessarily with adult content, but gears towards adults). Only over the time did networks dedicate to bringing kid friendly content. But even then, cartoons in general are still not just for kids. Do you really think that Beavis and Butthead or South Park are designed for kids but have adult content? |
Noticed I said cartoons and not animation as their are many different types of animation but cartoons as they were generally designed for quite a bit of time themselves were made and created for kids. Even so, we have cartoons like animaniacs that is made for kids but has adult level humor and content at the same time.
We can go down the semantics line of thought a lot but at the end of the day where exactly are we going. Are we just arguing about semantics here or are we just arguing period for what purpose. For every one example you set, I can give you hundreds that show different. What exactly are we arguing about. Since I already addressed my opinion on the subject, exactly what are you disagreeing on.
Even on the superhero front, how many superhero movies are their with a R rating or even anything above PG13. For the one deadpool, how many superhero movies are made so that only adults can attend.
