You are a bit more worked up about this topic than I am.  To correct one thing though, Smash is a game built using 3D models.  It is just presented by the camera as a 2D game because that is the aesthetic and feel they are going for.

You also may have misquoted me here.  My post is pointing out the hypocrisy of some people who are swearing off fighters with DLC practices but simultaneously singing the praises of Smash Ultimate, another game with DLC practices.

We all know smash is clearly a game using 3D models.  It's like saying MK11 is 2D.  That's not the point.  You need more character animations to move in a 3D space than you do to move in a 2D space.  Character don't need 8 way walking animations, or side-steps, or any sort of movement that moves along the Z-axis.  2D characters don't need "while side-stepping" attacks, which are attacks, you can only do while walking around the opponent.  Smash brothers doesn't even have "while rising" attacks either.

Smash brothers is 2D.  So is Mortal Kombat 11.

Also, smash brothers isn't doing anything wrong with it's DLC.  DoA6's price point is no where near equilibrium, and that is the issue here.

No it isn't, but as has been brought up it is following the same path as DoA5's did.  So either A. DoA devs are fine with their model or B. they are giving it one last go before changing.

My postings have more been about all the other posts talking about how ALL fighting game DLC is a rip off or "cut content" while giving a pass to games they like in the genre, regardless of personal taste for it.
