The difference is that not only Zelda has gone through 3 different evolutions(Zelda 1, OOT, BOTW), but even then, each game had a very different feel to it, like Majoras Mask for example.

Is it too much to ask for Pokemon to try something different?I... dont understand how this discussion has reached where we are now.

Let's not forget that the jump from OOT gameplay to BoTW was due to SS mediocre sales( and fan feedback, even though I think its one of the best Zelda games), I hope you don't play on getting gen 8, and that people with your thinking follow suit. Tell Gamefreak with your money, and they will listen like the Zelda team. 

Assuming that thats all there is to Shield and Sword, no Ill not be getting it.Much like I didnt buy Lets Go, or a Pokemon game since gen 4(outside of X and Y, which I have given a second chance, just to be dissapointed again)

The sad thing is that Pokemon (mainline ones) will never sell as bad as SS, so the Pokemon Company and Gamefreak will stay in their little cozy place for the foreseeable future.Wish Nintendo did something to take the game off their hands, but alas, they cant.
