But thats the whole point. Its not a matter of if its needed or not.If Gamefreak really wanted, they could have made a pokemon with a DS-like graphic style for the 3DS or even the Switch, call it a "retro-style graphics" or whatnot, and it would have still made a killing.

We are not discussing business here.We are discussing what would be the best for the game as a game. And thats not it.And XC 2 was excellent on release, or it wouldnt have sold more than 1 million in the first month, basically selling more than any Xenoblade LT sales in one measly month. And certainly wouldnt have the legs to reach 2 million, which is what it seems it will reach.

And how come you dont see the "brainwash thing"?You just admited to "Don’t get me wrong, I would love an ambitious PKMN game", but you are still more than fine with Sword and Shield. This is the ddefinition of classical conditioning. You were trained to expect, throughout the decades of playing the same kind of Pokemon experiences, a game that wasnt pushing anything.

I would love an ambitious PMKN game, I love the game we seem to be getting now. You know what I wouldn’t love? The 5 year wait it would take to get the ambitious game and the filler that would come from it in the anime. It’s not like the PKMN games we are getting now are bad games. Would an ambitious, open world, gorgeous PKMN game be better than Sword and Sheild? It’s not certain, but maybe. But would it be worth it? As a fan, I’m not sure if it would be worth it too me. What I meant by xenoblade having some issues on releases day, not that it was a bad game

As I said, I do understand where you are comming from. But at the same time, dont be upset at people that dont share your view.

I would take a Pokemon that would take 5 or 6 years to make over a game that is released every two or 3 years any day. There is a reason why Zelda and Mario are so beloved, more than 30 years after their debut.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
