The Switch is doing a really good job of proving the absurdity of the common argument "x series has never sold more than y million, so future entries won't exceed that."
Time and again people act as though the highest selling previous entry of a series is the ceiling for that IP til the end of time. Well, BOTW, Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Mario Tennis Aces, Smash Ultimate, and Xenoblade 2 say hi...
