You're just trying to label "haters".
But actually what you say is quite true. Every time Nintendo succeeds is because they try to not compete with home consoles.
Switch isn't exactly like core audience, it's more like Nintendo exclusive + Japan stuff audience. With Pokemon and Smash audience alone, Nintendo can pull 3DS-like numbers.
