I could count the shows that are absolutely must-see on my fingers, whereas with movies there are over 100 easily. The best directors, actors, cinematographers out there focus on working on movies and the difference in quality really shows that.

But I will admit the shows you mentioned above are worth checking out for sure, except for The Expanse, which I haven't watched yet.

OT: Inception, The original Bourne Trilogy (  Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum ), The Departed, The Prestige, Shutter Island, Mad Max: Fury Road are a few movies really loved by audiences ( and by me, of course ).

If you want to watch something more recent ( released in 2018 ) and you're into horror/thriller/science fiction, I recommend Annihilation, A Quiet Place and Upgrade.

My favorite movie released in the past five years is Blade Runner 2049 and it's not entirely necessary to have watched the original Blade Runner to see it.

I just finished watching Annihilation yesterday it was good :) Reminded me a bit of Stalker (1979) Blade runner 2049 is a good one as well.
Series give me more time to get into them though. Dark was great for example.

My top 10 movies hasn't changed since 2006 (Children of men) yet series still keep getting better. Interstellar might still make it into my top 10. I have to watch it again first. The fact that I haven't yet keeps it out of my top 10 for now. The Grand Budapest is also a more recent movie that might still make it in.

Dark is in my opinion the greatest tv-show out there. I cannot wait for season 2. But it's definitely NOT for everyone and I would never recommend it to a casual person.
