I don't agree, I think Microsoft will do very nicely next-gen. Rumors has it they will launch a cheap Sku probably for 300$, this will be a very deadly console against Sony especially in US/UK. Both Microsoft and Sony will probably sell more consoles next-gen as they both will have backwards compatibility and can those grow a bigger userbase instead of having to reset to 0.

About gaming moving into mobile space, we already had another dude making those predictions, (videogameaccount) I have so far followed them predictions and his accuracy has been 0% and I suspect you will end up somewhere around that number too, haha :)
