MGSV was a good example of that, an impressive game for 7th gen consoles but it ran at half the frame rate along with other visual aspects being scaled back.

I'm not sure why you felt I needed to be reminded to that as (a) obviously I am already aware and (b) it's not relevant to the statement you quoted, which was about resolution and the oft-repeated but incorrect claim that a game must be 1080p on PS4/Xbone to work on Switch.

Maybe I'm missing it but I didn't see you stating the obvious, but whatever.

Also, resolution and performance go hand in hand for technically demanding games. At 30 fps Wolf II would likely be a 1080p game on 8th gen consoles or use the overhead to improve graphics. But again, obvious stuff.
