Finance. Today it is much more expensive to get married and raise children, it is not hard to see more and more people are choosing to be single when you have to work more and get paid in a fiat currencies that ALWAYS lose value/purchasing power as time passes.

eh I made roughly 2000 Euro profit after my wedding was over and being married means that I have to pay less in taxes.
Also it's cheaper to live with someone else since you can split the rent. And with the addition of your partner's wage you can buy more expensive stuff for your home.

The point about raising children is true, but I think that's optional.

Yeah, living with a partner (without children) in a “normal“ relationship means that you have more and not less money. You share rent and furniture, you share energy costs, traveling is cheaper and much more as well.

To be single is more expensive except for a situation where you live a boring life without spending money on anything as single and where you only spend money and leave your home if you have a partner.
