From what I've heard this is lower than most mainline Pokemon games first week, but in line with remakes/version 3s, and ahead of spinoffs. So it's still fantastic, especially given the install base. Already well over 10% of Switch owners. No reason to think next year's game won't do even better. While the next game might cut off Let's Go's legs prematurely, it's going to sell like crazy for a full year before then and I can easily see it becoming the Switch's highest selling game before that happens.
Any disappointment I might have had with Let's Go was completely mitigated by the news that a true mainline sequel is coming out next year. Knowing that I can really enjoy roaming around Kanto in HD.
