I genuinely believed MS would have been the last of the 3 to implement this feature mainly for the lack of a "legitimate" first party studio. I mean, I could see why Sony and Ninty would want the authorization of used game sales to end because it affects their business directly but MS isn't in that boat.
That's why to me at least there's question marks all over this. Not that we don't see it coming as gamers but WHICH company to do it first is almost rhetorical.
If it's true then it really makes me wonder who's in bed with who? Are MS and other officials holding private meetings? Or if it's true, is this solely a marketing strategy for we did it first bragging rights?

Edit: I just thought of the incentive looking at it from a devs point of view. It would be enticing for a dev company that's tired of used game sales, to cooperate with a platform with this feature.

Not sure why you throught MS would be the last to implement this. It was the orginal idea of the XB1 until the internet exploded and didnt want it.

MS house 14 1st party gaming studios and possibly more.

They have full digital game services that is hugely popular.

They are also the only ones that own there own Cloud service thats world wide. (Azure)

Basically what i am saying is, MS tried this awhile ago and if this rumoured Xbox is true, this is them testing the waters again to see if this sticks. It's really only a matter of time.
