Anyone in a position of "Authority" should be held to a higher standard.

Why? Because they are supposed to be setting the example for others to follow.
They also tend to be individuals that are noticed allot more in the general public's eye.

From a justice/law perspective, they should of course be seen and treated as equals of course.

That becomes subjective, though. Because, man, politicians have got to be the worst kind of example ppl can think of. The vast majority of them aren’t exactly the pinnacle of virtue.

Media/celebs can fall into the noticed a lot more bracket themselves, even moreso arguably. Can they be held to a higher standard then and condemned just as harshly for their actions? Do we pick and choose now who should be held in this higher standard? Can the media pick for us?

I feel like we should only hold others to the same standards we hold ourselves to avoid becoming hypocrites. But that’s me.

Where are the 'fact' checkers when you need them...
